About

Hi, I'm Salleh.

I spent my twenties and thirties running 100 metres as fast as my legs would carry me — four seconds of violence, then a sandwich. I competed as a natural physique athlete after that, because apparently I enjoy suffering in short formats. Then I became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and spent years telling other people to pace themselves.

So naturally, at 54, I signed up for HYROX — an hour-plus of running and stations where pacing is the whole sport. My sprinting brain is furious. My coaching brain is fascinated. This site is where the two of them argue in public, every week, until race day in November 2026.

Everything here is free. No membership, no paywall, no "premium tier". I write the Grind Log, I post the tips, and KRUXO — my white pit bull and head of security — supervises. You read, you subscribe, you steal my workouts. That is the whole business model.

The training grounds

No fancy facility. A home gym built over a decade — sled, kettlebells, sandbag, a pull-up bar that has opinions — and the staircase of my HDB block, which is the finest free altitude chamber in Singapore. If you live in a flat, you already own a training centre.
